Project Graduation – May 29, 2009

Graduation 8:00pm – TX State University Strahan Coliseum

Transportation to Project Graduation:

Those attending Project Graduation will be directed to go towards the buses around 10:00pm. Buses will arrive at the TX State Rec Center at 10:15pm. Seniors are asked to do any changing of clothes they need at the Rec Center. Please do not change at Strahan. NO Cars are to be left at TX State after graduation.

Arrival and Check-In:

Tables will be set up across the front of the entrance of the Rec Center for sign-in, bag search, and completion of rock climbing paper (If under 17 yrs. Of age, senior must have a parent’s signature on the form). Also available at check-in will be their individual time to show up for their prize drawing, they will also get their tickets for casino/prize chips. Locker without a lock will be available for their personal items(towel, swimming suit, climbing shoes, shorts , etc.). (All Volunteers are asked to assist with check-in until all seniors are checked-in).

 

Food:

(Arrival until they leave) - 2 different locations for food (entrance snack area & refreshment/food lounge by pool area. Pizza available at arrival!

Things to do:

  • Climbing Wall 11pm-2am (three hours only) - only 25 kids can climb at a time.

*Must have attached permission slip signed and turned in to participate in rock climbing

(Parent permission release form is required for all under seniors under 18 yrs).

Forms are also available with Mrs. Vanhoozer until school is out! NO Form = NO Participation!!

  • Casino Tables – All night - They will use their tickets given at check-in to play. There will be (2) Black Jack and (2) Texas Hold ‘Em tables.
  • Swimming Pool Area - 11-3:30 The pool will be open and there is water volleyball, lounge pool and a lap pool. The locker rooms have full changing areas and showers. Girls need to only wear their swim suits in the pool area, When they are in other areas they can wear them under their clothes as long as they are not wet.
  • Bounce House - All night- In the first basketball court. The kids can only have 5 at a time due to their size.
  • Golf Simulator - All night - There will be a sign in at the area; simulator is designed for (2) to play 9 holes in 1 hour, we may change that based on demand.
  • Ping Pong - All night- 2 Ping Pong tables at the racquetball courts.
  • Racquetball - All night-2 Wolleyball courts and 2 Racquetball Courts
  • Basketball Courts - All night- basketballs available at the front desk.
  • Volleyball Courts - All night-volleyballs available at the front desk
  • Dance/Karaoke - Upstairs in the studio.
  • Video Game Room – Big screen TVs will be set up for games (Wii, Xbox, etc.)
  • Food Bar/Wet Lounge - One of our two food areas that will have chairs and tables for the kids to hang out, grab a bite and relax.
  • PLUS Prizes – “Spin the Wheel” Prizes, Casino Prizes, Goodie Bags and Cash Cube.

Check out:

4:30-4:45 Kids will collect their prizes, goodiebags and all their personal belongings and board the bus that will deliver them back to Wimberley High School at 5:00am.

Transportation:

All kids are required to ride the bus TO AND FROM Project Graduation. It is part of our TX DOT agreement in having them as a sponsor of our project graduation.
